In 1865, Lewis Carroll completed his much-celebrated novel 'Alice in Wonderland' which tells the story of a girl named Alice falling through a rabbit hole into a fantasy world populated by extremely peculiar creatures.
Referred to by many as one of the most beloved stories of all time, Alice in Wonderland has remained extremely popular among people of all ages. Since the book was published there have been numerous films based on the story:
- Alice in Wonderland (1951): This animated adaption of the story has been regarded as one of Disney's greatest animated classics.
- Alice in Wonderland (2010): Visionary Tim Burton directs this magical and imaginative twist on the book. Starring Johnny Depp.
- Alice in Wonderland: Through the Looking Glass is a 2016 release which sees Alice travel back in time to save the Mad Hatter. With Anne Hathaway, Helena Bonham Carter and Mia Wasikowska.
