Filmbankmedia Blanket Licence Tariffs: Universities

This tariff applies to the background or ambient screening of audio-visual content licensed from our rightsholders. It covers content accessed via broadcast television, home entertainment formats (such as DVD or Blu-ray), or viewed from the internet in within universities.

“Background’ refers to the use of audio-visual content to create an atmosphere or ambient setting, where the viewing is incidental and not integral to the core activities or primary purpose of the venue, event, or organisation.

Effective date: 1st September 2025
