Synopsis:

Based on the Pulitzer prize winning novel by Oscar Hijuetos, the film traces the lives of two Cuban brothers, Caesar and Nestor, who bring their music and dreams of love and fame from Havana to New York. With the mambo craze sweeping post war America, the brothers are poised for huge success. However, Caesar, while revelling in women and money, cannot come to terms with the proposals of an important promoter, and with Nestor lamenting a lost love in Havana, their future soon becomes uncertain. A lively romantic drama with excellent performances and an energetic Latin score.
