Synopsis:
Frannie Avery is a self-determined NYU English teacher living alone in New York. In the aftermath of a particularly gruesome murder in her neighbourhood, she finds herself in the grip of an unfamiliar and mounting terror. Lonely and self-protective, she surprises herself by entering into a risky sexual liaison with the homicide cop investigating the case. By the time further murders occur, her darkest suspicions may have been overwhelmed by the erotic passion she feels for the enigmatic detective.
