Synopsis:
Sam Dawson as the mental age of a 7 year old. He works at Starbucks and is obsessed with the Beatles. So much so that he names his daughter Lucy Diamond (after one of their songs). Sam is sole carer of Lucy, after their mother, a homeless woman, abandons her at birth. But as she reaches the age 7 herself, Sam’s limitations become apparent to the school who feel it best that Lucy has the chance to develop to her full potential with a '˜normal' family. When the authorities step in Sam shames a high-priced lawyer, Rita Harrison, into taking his case pro bono.
