Synopsis:

Starring Jim Broadbent, Lindsay Duncan and Jeff Goldblum, Le Week-end is the acclaimed romantic comedy directed by Roger Michell (Enduring Love, Venus, Notting Hill) and written by Hanif Kureishi. In the third feature collaboration between Roger Michell and writer Hanif Kureishi (after The Mother and Venus), Jim Broadbent and Lindsay Duncan’s couple revisit Paris to revitalise their marriage, and run into an old friend (Jeff Goldblum) who gives them a fresh new take on life and love. Kureishi’s wonderful script and the excellent performances help balance the tone between comedy and drama, while Michell celebrates the city’s rich cinematic heritage.
