Synopsis:
A complete change from BATMAN for Keaton as the downwardly-mobile Daryl Poynter, hooked on drink and drugs and in financial straits. To escape from his angry debtors, Daryl finds a temporary haven - the Causeway House, a chemical dependency centre with a detoxification programme. Of course Daryl does not need detoxifying, just privacy, because he is not an addict - or at least that is what he says. However, his stay not only makes him realise a few home truths about his physical dependencies, but also a few emotional and psychological ones too.
