Synopsis:

Set in 1984, disaffected, preternaturally cool Sebastian has returned to the bleak and unexciting New York hamlet he grew up in following a disastrous stay in England with his relocated mother. Bright though underachieving, Sebastian is avid for adventure and experience to mediate and deepen his intention to be a writer. Sebastian's former "stepfather" is a pre-op transsexual and his announcement of his pending sexual shift sets in motion the film's provocative narrative.
