Accessibility Statement

Our Commitment to Accessibility

Filmbankmedia is committed to making our website accessible to all users, regardless of ability or technology. We are continuously working to improve the accessibility and usability of our site in line with best practices and requirements.

If you have any feedback or suggestions on how we can enhance accessibility, please contact us at replace@filmbankmedia.com.

Compliance with Accessibility Standards

We aim to comply with the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 at level A or AA (this may vary depending on the area of our website or services you are using).

While we strive to meet these standards, we acknowledge that some areas of the website may still need improvement, and we are working on addressing these issues.

How to Adjust Font Size

If you find the text on our website too small, you can easily increase the font size using your browser settings:

  • On Windows, hold Ctrl and press + to zoom in or - to zoom out.
  • On Mac, hold Command (⌘) and press + to increase text size or - to decrease it.
  • Alternatively, you can adjust text size in your browser settings under "Appearance" or "Accessibility" options.

● If you’re accessing our website or services from your mobile device (Android, iPhone or other devices), use the accessibility features on your device to control text size and how the content is displayed in your browser.

Accessibility Features

To support an inclusive browsing experience, our website includes:

  • Alternative text for images to assist users with screen readers.
  • Keyboard navigation support.
  • A responsive design that adapts to different screen sizes and assistive technologies.
  • Clear headings and consistent navigation structures.

Known Accessibility Issues

We are aware that some elements of our website may not yet be fully accessible. This may include:

  • Some embedded media lack captions or transcripts.
  • Some legacy images may contain text that is hard-coded or ‘fixed’ onto an image, meaning screen readers may not be able to read the text on these images for you.
  • Occasional contrast issues with text and background colours.
  • Certain interactive elements that may not be fully operable via keyboard navigation.

We are actively working to resolve these issues and welcome feedback to help us improve.

Reporting Accessibility Issues

If you experience difficulties using our website or need content in an alternative format, please contact us at replace@filmbankmedia.com. We aim to respond to all accessibility-related enquiries within five working days.

We appreciate reporting accessibility issues isn’t a task that should land with users of our services who may need accessible content. In addition to receiving your reports, we have active website content improvement projects to help spot and remedy accessibility issues ourselves.

Filmbankmedia content and services

Filmbankmedia provides a library of thousands of film and TV titles. Many of these titles have their own subtitle libraries, covering many languages. Some may include closed caption content and some audio tracks for titles may contain audio descriptions. Check the specifics of a title if you require accessible content tracks such as these. You can check the specifics of titles in our ‘Browse films’ and film library. If you need additional information or clarification on which of our titles feature subtitles and accessible audio or subtitle content, don’t hesitate to get in touch with us.

Services provided by Filmbankmedia, such as Downloads, Download Manager, FilmbankConnect and Screening room services, may feature different levels of accessibility. We do aim to provide an A rated accessible experience in these services as a minimum. Some of these services are provided as ‘Beta’,‘Under development’ or ‘Early access’, where we may continue to work on service improvements as our customers use these services.

Filmbankmedia are not responsible for accessibility concerns within content and titles provided to us by our studio partners, including, but not limited to any hard-to-understand audio in titles, or legibility of non-subtitle text on screen within a title’s content.
