I've been fortunate to work with and learn from a number of great managers during my time at Filmbankmedia. My current manager has been especially supportive and welcoming, entrusting me with the day-to-day responsibilities of the department and encouraging me to contribute new ideas and initiatives.

What do you love most about working here?

I really enjoy that Filmbankmedia plays such an important role in connecting communities and institutions — from schools to libraries and beyond — with the power of film. It feels meaningful to be part of something that brings people together through cinema.

My manager supports me by providing clear guidance and expectations, but also trusting me with the autonomy to deliver. That balance helps me grow while feeling supported.

You feel like more than just an employee at Filmbankmedia. The support from senior management during difficult personal and professional periods for all staff members has gone above and beyond. It really makes you feel like you are part of a team.

Filmbankmedia has a great ability to make its employees heard. Feedback is shared openly and honestly between levels of employees, and nobody is afraid to make themselves heard. Ideas are encouraged, and nobody’s door is closed to a different way of doing things.

What is your favourite aspect of working with your colleagues?

The culture of the company means that we all get on so well as a team. Filmbankmedia has created an environment where being friends with your colleagues has been encouraged, and we have a great dynamic. Great group of people to work with!.

How would you describe the company culture?

Filmbankmedia feels like a large family where everyone genuinely knows each other. Even with a hybrid work week, the company values a sense of community and does a good job of fostering friendships. There’s never a sense of isolation, which makes the culture feel inclusive and supportive.

How does the company encourage you to bring your best self to work?

As a smaller company, it is clear that every role has an impact. You don't feel like a cog in the machine because your contributions are tangible and valued. The transparency of understanding the different aspects of the company, whether through company meetings or simply open conversations, further enforces this idea. There’s a real sense that what you do matters and an understanding of how it contributes to the bigger picture, which naturally motivates you to give your best.

How would you describe your team's dynamics?

We each have our own distinct responsibilities and roles, but ultimately our team is very collaborative. The nature of our workflow keeps us in constant communication, working towards a shared end product together.

What do you love most about working here?

I wholeheartedly love supporting the entertainment media needs of the many in unique industries, internationally. Being part of this giving media service opens your eyes to the lives of millions and benefits everyone.

How would you describe the culture?

My department works well together, supporting our customers and working through the needs of media creators, it’s really dynamic and fuels my passion for the work we do. Our team culture is enjoyably very diverse and supportive.
