Oscar Nominated for Felicity Huffman's Performance in a Leading Role and for the Original Song "Travelin' Thru", and winner of a Golden Globe for Best Actress in a Drama. TRANSAMERICA is a powerful story about people on the outskirts of society seeking acceptance, starring Felicity Huffman (Desperate Housewives). Bree (Huffman) is a pre-operative, male to female transsexual who discovers she has a son, Toby, the product of a somewhat clumsy sexual encounter years ago when she was a man. Bree flies from Los Angeles to New York in order to get the boy out of jail. Greeting Toby in the guise of a Christian missionary, she persuades him to accompany her back to the west coast - secretly planning to return him to his stepfather along the way.
